Resumo
Este artigo é sobre o ensino do desenho técnico, particularmente aplicado ao desenho técnico elétrico, utilizando novas técnicas de representação. O desenho técnico exercita a imaginação construtiva do estudante e a capacidade de pensar no bidimensional e no tridimensional. As técnicas tradicionais, utilizadas por nós professores desta disciplina ensinam o aluno a entender o desenho, a construí-lo e a transformá-lo, jogando-o do plano ao espaço mentalmente e somente depois transpondo-o para o papel ou projeto a realizar. Defendemos o pensamento de que o aluno não deve tornar-se um simples conhecedor de comandos e cremos que as técnicas tradicionais não devam ser abandonadas. Entretanto, a computação gráfica caminha a passos gigantescos; as empresas exigem profissionais treinados em softwares gráficos que agilizam os processos criativos e projetuais.  Cabe, portanto, a nós professores da área, trabalhar para desenvolver novos métodos de ensino, no qual as técnicas tradicionais não sejam abandonadas, mas sim, tornem-se parceiras das técnicas inovadoras.
Neste trabalho, já em andamento, estudamos o software gráfico desenvolvido pela Auto Desk, Auto CAD RELEASE 14.

Abstract
This paper is about the teaching of technical drawing, particularly applied to electrical technical drawing, using new techniques of representation. The technical drawing exercises the student’s constructive imagination and the ability to think about the bidimensional and tridimensional. The traditional techniques, used by us teachers of this subject, teach the students to understand the drawing, construed and transform it mentally moving it from the flat to the space, and only after transpose it to the paper or project to be developed. Being we a supporter of the idea that the students shouldn’t only become familiar with the commands, we believe the traditional techniques must not be abandoned.  However, graphic computation has expanded rapidly. The companies demand trained professionals in graphic software’s that speed up the creative process and projects. It is our duty, as professors of this area, to work to develop new teaching methods in which the traditional techniques aren’t abandoned, but otherwise, become partners of innovative techniques. In this work, that has been going on, we are studying the graphic software AutoCAD RELEASE 14, developed by the Auto Desk.
