Abstract
The construction of a universal knowledge utopia can be observed in accumulation policies in ancient Alexandria, as well as in the literary metaphor of the infinite library imagined by Borges. Paradoxically, these examples reveal the dilemmas concerning the fragmentation and informational chaos, which, under the Internet context, represent an obstacle for collective intelligence. Based on these reflections, the article intends to observe the relationship between design and the production process, accumulation and knowledge management, with a view on the interconnection of individuals through real-time networks towards dynamic management flow and information storage.
Keywords: Internet; intelligence collective; information design; libraries fragmentation.
