Contexto histórico do surgimento da Bauhaus

Resumo
Grandes discussões foram travadas acerca dos fundamentos e funções da arte como advento da revolução Industrial a partir do século XVIII. O principal tema das discussões era a produção industrial dos bens de consumo, que com a invenção das máquinas, escapou das mãos do artesão que se vira obrigado a migrar para as opressoras condições de trabalho das fábricas. Objetos extremamente mal resolvidos em relação à forma e função foram produzidos nessa fase inicial da industrialização. Houve ainda desregrado crescimento das cidades que se tornaram extremamente insalubres. Correntes antagônicas discorriam seus argumentos contra ou a favor da máquina. Dentre os que tinham opiniões mais relevantes com relação ao destino do artesanato destacou-se o inglês William Morris. Ele desejava a ressurreição das condições de produção medievais, e proclamava que somente a produção manual seria capaz de honrar o trabalho humano. Queria que todas as classes sócias tivessem acesso a objetos produzidos dessa maneira e, no entanto, ao rejeitar qualquer inovação nos métodos de produção, resultava que seu trabalho era caro. Entre as diversas alternativas para a solução desse impasse destacam-se as formulações alemãs, sendo que uma das mais frutíferas foi a Bauhaus.

Abstract
Great discussions happened concerning the foundations and functions af art with the birth of the Industrial Revolution on century XVII. The main theme of those discussions was the industrial production of the consumption goods, once with the invention of the machines, was no longer on artisan’s hands that were forced to migrate to oppression conditions of the work on factories. Extremely badly resolved objects in relation to the form and function were produced in that initial phase of the industrialization. There was still phase of the industrialization. There was still a disorder growth of the cities that became extremely unhealthy. Antagonistic currents discoursed their arguments against or in favor of the machine. Among those that had the most relevant opinions regarding the destiny of the craft stands out one English called William Morris. He wanted the resurrection of medieval production conditions, and he proclaimed that only manual production would be capable to honor the human work. He wanted that all social classes had access to those objects; however, rejecting any innovation in the production methods, it hás resulted in expensive works. Among several alternatives for the solution of that impasse stand out the German formulations, and one of the most fruitful was Bauhaus.
