Resumo

O artigo tem por intento relacionar a filosofia existencialista sartreana, com os temas imagético-textuais do filme Ghost in the Shell (1995) a partir da análise interpretativa dos personagens, narrativa, roteiro, cenários, ritmo e trilha sonora. Busca-se encontrar um possível conceito-imagem que o filme transmite, perpassando pela relação entre o existencialismo e a cibernética no sci-fi, e estabelecendo conexões e paralelos entre o enredo e os conceitos filosóficos introduzidos por Jean-Paul Sartre no livro “O Ser e o Nada” (1943), a fim de descobrir novas formulações ontológicas a partir da arte. A pesquisa pode afirmar semelhanças entre os personagens da trama com a concepção de ser-para-si sartreano, ou confrontá-la, levando em conta que a interpretação do filme é extremamente subjetiva e possui um leque significativo de interpretações possíveis.

Abstract

The article attempts to relate the Sartrean existentialist philosophy with the imagery-textual themes of the film Ghost in the Shell (1995) drawing a philosophical reflexive line on the subject, from the interpretative analysis of the characters, narrative, script, scenarios, rhythm and soundtrack. It seeks to find a possible concept-image that the film conveys, permeating the relation between existentialism and cybernetics in sci-fi, and establishing connections and parallels between the plot and the philosophical concepts introduced by Jean-Paul Sartre in the book “O Being and Nothingness “(1943), in order to discover new ontological formulations from art. The research may affirm similarities between the characters of the plot with the sartrean conception of being-for-itself, or confront it, taking into account that the interpretation of the film is extremely subjective and has a significant range of possible interpretations.
