A FLOR DA PELE, ETAPAS E EXPERTISES: UM RELATO DA PRODUÇÃO DE UM LIVRO-OBJETO / A FLOR DA PELE, STAGES AND EXPERTISES: A BOOK-OBJECT PRODUCTION REPORT

Resumo

Com o intuito de estabelecer um método para a produção de livros de design diferenciado este artigo apresenta o processo de A flor da pele, um livro-objeto vencedor do 1º lugar em design visual/editorial do 6º Prêmio Nacional Bornancini de Design, 2016. O livro pode ser manuseado em diferentes posições e une o industrial com artesanal. Este projeto foi feito em parceria com a escritora e fotógrafa Martha Scodro – desde a concepção até o livro pronto – e contou com a participação da encadernadora Gabriela Irigoyen. O texto evidencia e descreve as etapas da produção e as tarefas realizadas: [1] Planejamento; [2] Imersão; [3] Prototipação e construção da narrativa; [4] Produção; [5] Encadernação artesanal; [6] Realização de vídeos de divulgação; [7] Lançamento. No processo metodológico, foram realizadas observação participante, vivência e relato pessoal; pesquisa documental e pesquisa bibliográfica; entrevista direcionada com Martha Estima Scodro, Gabriela Irigoyen e com Paula Dager, destacadas em forma de citações.

Abstract

In order to establish a method for the production of differentiated design books, this article presents the process of design and production of A flor da pele, a book-object and winner of the 1st place in visual/editorial design of the 6th Bornancini National Design Award 2016. The book can be handled in different positions and it unites the industrial with handmade craft. This project was done in partnership with the writer and photographer Martha Scodro – from conception to the book ready – and counted on the participation of the bookbinder Gabriela Irigoyen. The text highlights the necessary designer expertises, points out the tasks in each of these steps: [1] Planning; [2] Immersion; [3] Prototyping and narrative construction; [4] Production; [5] Handmade Binding; [6] Making of booktraillers; [7] Graphic material and release. In the methodological process, participant observation, experience and personal reporting were carried out as well as documentary research and bibliographic research; directed interview with Martha Scodro, Gabriela Irigoyen and Paula Dager.
