Resumo

O desenho à mão livre na forma de esboço (sketch, croqui) pode ser considerado um meio universal que estimula a criatividade e a imaginação projetual. Através do esboço podemos materializar e estimular o nosso pensamento visual na geração de ideias. A partir do agrupamento das informações sobre pensamento visual e esboço presentes em 12 artigos na revisão de literatura sobre essa temática, o presente trabalho buscou apresentar as características do esboço: sua interação com o pensamento visual e os seus benefícios e contribuições para a criatividade no design. Mapa Mental e Brain Dumping Visual foram as duas técnicas criativas destacadas como exemplos práticos dos benefícios do esboço na atividade projetual.  Para melhor compreensão das características desse tipo de desenho, utilizou-se de exemplos dos sites Pinterest e Google Images para a seleção de imagens representativas da prática do esboço na atividade projetual disponíveis na internet.

Abstract

Freehand drawing in the form of a sketch (esboço, croqui) can be considered a universal medium that stimulates creativity and design imagination. Through the sketch we can materialize and stimulate our visual thinking in generating ideas. From the grouping of information on visual thinking and sketch present in 12 articles in the literature review on this topic, the present work sought to present the characteristics of the sketch: its interaction with visual thinking and its benefits and contributions to creativity in design. Mind Mapping and Visual Brain Dumping were the two creative techniques highlighted as practical examples of the benefits of sketching in design activity. For a better understanding of the characteristics of this type of drawing, examples from the Pinterest and Google Images sites were used to select representative images of the practice of sketching in the design activity available on the internet.
