O DESIGNER E A GRÁFICA: PARCERIA E INFORMALIDADE / THE DESIGNER AND THE PRINTERS: PATNERSHIP AND INFORMALITY

Abstract

The graphic sector is located at the end of the productive chain of a graphic design project, being directly related to its production. In this professional symbiosis between graphic designer and the printers, the absence of more robust laws reveals several gaps that distinguish a relationship permeated by informality, generally in the segment of small companies of the sector in Brazil. This article aims to evaluate the issue from the perspective of a small printing company, with the fictitious name of Navio Serigrafia, which is located in the State of Rio de Janeiro, established under the regime provided for in the National Simples. For this case study the report Diagnostics and Sector Mappings: Graphic and Editorial Sector Portrait, developed by Firjan (2017), as well as the interviews with the managers-owners of the company “Navio Serigrafia”, which illustrates the proposed thesis. Finally, it is sought to evaluate the impact that such informality and procedures can cause to both the areas of professional activity involved.
