O presente texto trata das relações espaciais geradas pelos retábulos nas igrejas e capelas brasileiras do período colonial, com destaque para o barroco, toma como referência o contexto histórico, leituras “in loco” e bibliografia pertinente à história da arquitetura e urbanismo.

Abstract
The present text treats of the space relationships generated by the retábulos in the churches and chapels of the colonial period, with prominence for the Baroque, it takes as reference the historical context, readings ” in loco ” and pertinent bibliography to the history of the architecture and urbanization.
