Resumo

O objetivo este artigo é analisar os processos cognitivos presentes durante a produção de croquis na fase inicial do processo de projeto e verificar como ideias e conhecimentos emergem no ato criativo. O arquiteto materializa suas ideias sobre o suporte físico tanto para registrar seus pensamentos como para descobrir novas possibilidades a partir dos indícios fornecidos pelo próprio desenho. Os croquis de concepção são os artefatos mais próximos do pensamento. São registros exploratórios, cuja ambiguidade estimula a imaginação. A incerteza é inerente ao processo de criação, o que favorece a produção de diferentes ideias e estimula a criatividade.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the cognitive processes during the production of sketches in the initial phase of the design process and to verify how ideas and knowledge emerge in the creative act. The architect materializes his ideas on the physical support as to register its thoughts as to discover new possibilities from the cues provided from the own drawing. The conceptual sketches are artifacts closer to the thought. They are exploratory registers, whose ambiguity stimulates imagination. The uncertainty is inherent to the creation process, what favors the production of different ideas and stimulates the creativity.
