Resumo
Este trabalho tem como objeto de estudo a palavra-forma, tomada como ocorrência da comunicação visual. Ao longo deste artigo, identificamos os momentos históricos mais importantes para a ocorrência e a comprovação da existência do objeto de pesquisa. Para tanto, levamos em consideração as influências do contexto cultural, da tecnologia e a busca por identidades diferenciadas. Na consolidação da existência do objeto de pesquisa, trabalha-se com a percepção.

Abstract
This paper aims at studying the word-form considered as an occurrence of visual communication. Through this research, the most important historical moments for the occurrence and verification of the research object were identified. Therefore, the influences of the cultural context, the technology and the search for different identities were considered. In order to consolidate the existence of the object of research, the perception has been worked with.
