Resumo

Este trabalho objetiva estudar os ladrilhos hidráulicos de Florianópolis/SC, analisando as composições gráficas presentes em 55 edificações tombadas individualmente na área central da cidade. Para cumprir esse objetivo, primeiramente, fez-se uma pesquisa de campo visando mapear e inventariar os ladrilhos hidráulicos nas edificações elencadas. Finalizada esta etapa, as composições foram classificadas e contabilizadas, possibilitando realizar a análise exploratória de dados e a correlação desses resultados por meio da observação de suas características principais. Os resultados mostraram que, das 55 edificações visitadas, 30 apresentaram ladrilhos hidráulicos, 24 não continham o artefato e em apenas uma não foi possível o acesso. A partir das 30 edificações com exemplares das peças, identificaram-se 81 composições gráficas, que foram analisadas segundo o formato, o tamanho, a textura e a cor. Investigaram-se, também, os motivos e as formas das composições gráficas. Com essa investigação, pretende-se contribuir com produção de conhecimento relacionado ao tema no país, e, ainda, colaborar com a proteção desse artefato através de seu inventário que, até o momento, não havia sido realizado na cidade de Florianópolis.

Abstract

This paper proposes to study the hydraulic tiles of Florianópolis/SC, analyzing the graphic compositions present in the 55 buildings listed individually in the central area of the city. To accomplish this objective, firstly, a field research was carried out to map and inventory the hydraulic tiles in the listed buildings. From there, the compositions were classified and counted, allowing to perform an exploratory data analysis and to correlate these results by observing their main characteristics. The results of the field study showed that of the 55 visited buildings, 30 presented hydraulic tiles and 24 did not present the artifact, while access to only one of the interest sites was not possible. From the 30 buildings with specimens of the pieces, 81 graphic compositions were identified, which were analyzed according to format, size, texture, and color. The motifs and shapes of the graphic compositions were also investigated. This research aims to contribute to the production of knowledge related to the topic in the country, and also to collaborate with the protection of this artifact through its inventory, which, so far, had not been performed in the city of Florianópolis.
